Written and illustrated by children of Niue who live in Aotearoa, Niue and other parts of the world, these are, in the children's words, their expressions of aspects of Niue life that are important to them. There are stories of history, myth, religion celebrations, life events such as hifiulu (haircutting ceremony), people of importance to them, as well as records of everyday life such as fishing, sports and housing. This vibrant collection of material by children of 'The Rock' includes a map of the island and 36 pieces of writing. Written by children for children, it provides a unique insight into Niue.
