Learning Shapes with Mari (A'oa'oina Siepi ma Mari) is the third book in the Under the Launiu Series. In this book, Mari enjoys a car ride with her aunt Nina to visit Cheat Day. Mari learns her “siepi”, her shapes, in Samoan. Illustrations from this book are inspired by life in American Samoa, specifically at one of the famous dessert shops on the island, Cheat Day! Readers can enjoy spotting local landmarks and seeing local treats vividly illustrated. The Under the Launiu Series aims to promote the cultural values and language of the Samoan people. Sabrina hopes the Under the Launiu Series will foster a love of learning, reading, and culture for all Samoan children.
