This is the story of an unplanned and varied life.
In the main it is an autobiography but it has a much broader field of coverage than an autobiography would usually have because of the people the author was lucky enough to meet and work with, first in New Zealand and then in Canada, where he met and collaborated with world-famous film-makers, and then back in New Zealand, where he became a criminal barrister and spent thirty-nine years with Margaret and their daughters and Frida, the Havanese dog Margie chose for them only a few years before her unexpected death in 2021.
